Who We Are

RankAssurance is a search and AI-visibility firm. We run a free website scan, and a paid investigation called the Rank Codex. These Terms of Service govern your use of this website, the free scan, and any free account you create.

The Free Scan

The free scan is a single-page read of the website address you enter, together with public DNS and certificate records — the same public signals a search engine or answer engine can read. It reports only what it can measure this run, and it tells you when it cannot reach something rather than guessing. The scan is a measurement of a public page. It is not advice, and it is not a promise about how any search engine or AI assistant will treat your site.

Accounts and Scan Limits

You can run a limited number of scans without an account. A free account raises your daily limit and saves your reports to your profile. Accounts are for your own use — do not share credentials, and do not create accounts to work around a limit. We publish the current limits in the product and may adjust them to keep the service healthy for everyone.

Acceptable Use

Scan sites you own, or have a legitimate reason to evaluate — a prospect, a competitor you are researching, or a client site you manage. Do not use the scan to probe, stress, or harass a site or its owner. Our reader identifies itself honestly and respects a site's blocks; you must not use our service to do anything you could not do politely with an ordinary browser.

What You May Not Do

To keep the service honest and sustainable, you may not:

• scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract our reports or any part of this site;
• access the service by any automated means outside the published interface;
• resell, white-label, or redistribute our reports or our output;
• reverse-engineer our analysis, or attempt to recover a method we have not disclosed;
• use our reports, their structure, or their content to build, train, or improve a competing product;
• replicate, or produce a derivative of, the RankAssurance methodology — including the Scan Score and the Rank DNA analysis — or this site's presentation of it;
• republish a report in whole or in substantial part without our written permission.

Rate Limits, Suspension, and Termination

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access — for an account or an address — if use threatens the service, breaks these terms, or looks like abuse. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

Reports Are Analysis, Not a Promise

Every report is our measurement and reading of public signals at a moment in time. We report correlation and opportunities. We never promise a specific ranking, a specific placement, or that any AI assistant will name you — no one can honestly promise that, and we do not. What we do promise is that the measurement is real, that its confidence is labeled, and that it can be checked.

No Warranty

The site and the free scan are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to keep measurements accurate and current, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, RankAssurance is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or the free scan. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.

The Rank Codex

The Rank Codex is a paid engagement, separate from this website and the free scan. These Terms cover the website and the free scan; a Rank Codex engagement is arranged directly with us, and any written terms for it are provided at that time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. When we do, we revise the date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
