Our Reader Identifies Itself

Our scanner sends a stable, published user-agent so you can recognise it in your logs and allow it deliberately. It does not change from scan to scan, and it does not pretend to be a browser or another company's crawler. You can read the full identity on our crawler documentation.

We Respect Your Blocks

If your robots.txt disallows us, or your security layer refuses the request, we stop. We report the refusal honestly in the scan and never work around it — no retries under a different name, no disguises, no second identity. A block is an answer, and we take it.

What a Site Owner Can Expect

A free scan reads your homepage once, and looks up your public DNS and certificate records. It does not log in, submit forms, or touch anything private. It is a single, polite read — the kind of visit a search engine makes every day.

The Removal Path

If you own a domain and a public report about it appears at rankassurance.com/tests/, you can ask us to unpublish it. Email [email protected] from an address at that domain — or one that can show control of it — and tell us which report. We honour the request: the report is removed from public serving. We built this path on purpose, because a site owner should have a say in whether their public report is listed.

Reporting Abuse

If you believe someone is misusing our scanner against your site, tell us. Email [email protected] with what you saw — the time, and the user-agent in your logs — and we will look into it.
